A survival training firm has been recognised for its achievements in safety at this year’s IADC North Sea Chapter Awards.
Falck Safety Services has received the accolade in honour of its safety initiatives, which have included schemes to improve safety performance and reducing risk in environmental, technical and operational settings, throughout the last 12 months.
The firm has highlighted safety practices to all its UK-based employees’ personal development plans.
This training has included HSE inspections and emergency response drills.
Colin Leyden, the company’s managing director, said it was a great achievement for Falck to be seen as a leader in the field.
He said: “Not only did we introduce safety practices for all employees, but we also increased communication between them, ensuring information regarding safety flows throughout the organisation, using our safety volunteers, and implanting committee meetings, toolbox and a suggestion box scheme. “
Falck Safety Services is a division of the Nordic-based Falck and has 32 training centres worldwide.
