Aberdeen marine technology firm Nautronix said yesterday it had won a £25million-plus contract extension to provide survey services to Norwegian subsea company Ocean Installer for a further three years.
Nautronix – represented at this week’s Offshore Technology Conference in Houston – has been growing its survey services business since 2012, supporting projects on Ocean Installer vessels globally.
Growth at the division has come amid significant investment in people and equipment, and it now employs about 50 workers and owns a large quantity of survey equipment.
The new contract extension means Nautronix can continue to build and develop survey services as it looks for new growth opportunities for the company as a whole.
Chief executive Mark Patterson said: “It has been a pleasure working with the Ocean Installer team.
“Our goals are aligned and we are working closely to ensure the end client gets a high quality, safe and cost effective solution.
“This commitment made by Ocean Installer to extend the contract for three years is a major achievement for the company and I am delighted that we can continue to grow the division in this challenging market, where efficiency and value are key”.
Ocean Installer chief executive Steinar Riise added: “We have been delighted with Nautronix’ performance over the past three years and the quality of service they provide is recognised by our teams onshore and offshore.
“We look forward to continuing our relationship with Nautronix in order to deliver the quality and value our clients expect”.
As well as the Aberdeen HQ, Nautronix has sales offices in Houston in the US, Rio de Janeiro and Macae in Brazil and Stavanger in Norway
Ocean Installer is headquartered in Stavanger, with offices in Aberdeen, Houston, Dubai, Brazil, Mexico and Australia.
