Lamprell has confirmed the retirement of its non-executive director.
Peter Whitbread will step down from his post with immediate effect after 18 years with the firm.
Mr Whitbread joined the company in 1992 as an architect before helping to position the organisation into a large offshore contractor.
John Kennedy, chairman, said: “It is with regret that Peter Whitbread has informed the company of his intention to leave the group for personal reasons.
“When Peter re-joined the company, he was instrumental in the recovery process at that difficult time and we have greatly benefited from his wealth of experience and industry-wide expertise.
“The board wishes him all the best for the future and I know that our major shareholder, Steven Lamprell, is especially appreciative of his efforts and input since 1992.
“On a personal level, I wish to thank him for his commitment and counsel.”
