EnQuest said production has rose 20% in the first four months of the year.
The increase was largely due to a strong performance at its Malaysian asset, the oil producer said.
Production rose to 30,768 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) for the four months to April, from 25,597 barrels a year earlier.
The company also said the start-up from its North Sea Alma/Galia project and Kraken field remains on track.
EnQuest is mostly focused on the North Sea but acquired an interest in the PM8/Seligi oil field in Malaysia last June as it looked to expand outside of the core UK market.
Earlier this year a consultation by EnQuest began looking into changes in shift patterns for offshore workers.
The move could see a reduction in headcount of more than 100 contracted employees.
It could see companies including KCA Deutag, Petrofac and Sodexo see a reduction in headcount of up t0 146 staff in total used by the operator .
