Apache has revealed plans to reorganise its business as it looks to reduce costs.
Cory Loegering has been named as the new head of Apache North Sea, taking over from Jim House who has been given a newly created position.
House will become senior vice president for the Houston region and will be based at the company’s headquarters Houston.
Loegering will be based in Apache’s offices in Aberdeen.
Chief executive John Christmann said the new structure would allow the company to allocate resources and personnel expediently “as industry conditions dictate”.
The business will be reorganised into three regions: The Permian region, the Houston region, and an international and offshore region which includes it Egypt, North Sea and Gulf of Mexico businesses.
The company’s office in Tulsa, Oklahoma will be closed, and a number of employees will be relocated.
Earlier this year, the company completed the sale of its stakes in two liquefied natural gas projects in Canada and Australia to Woodside Petroleum in a $2.75billion deal.
