Facilities management firm Aramark has picked up top awards from UK safety body RoSPA.
The company’s Aberdeen-based North Sea business has secured a sixteenth consecutive RoSPA gold award for occupational health and safety, which led to it also receiving 2015 RoSPA order of distinction for health and safety best practice.
RoSPA, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, presents the accolade to organisations with outstanding and consistent performance in health and safety over a prolonged period of time.
Only companies with at least 15 consecutive annual gold awards qualify, making this the second time that Aramark has received the order of distinction.
Aramark’s offshore team provides hotel, catering and facilities management services to remote sites – including oil, gas and drilling platforms, and accommodation support vessels – off the UK coast. It also operates in Danish and Middel Eastern waters.
Aramark Offshore North Sea managing director Andrew Thomson, said: “We are the only company in our sector to have been awarded the order of distinction and that speaks volumes about our approach to service delivery in offshore environments.
“This is excellent recognition for our extremely hard-working teams. We will never be complacent and will seek to build on our commitment to health and safety over the coming years.”
Now 59 years in operation, the RoSPA Awards scheme is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK.
