Safety training provider Falck proved it practices what it preaches by winning an occupational health and safety award.
Aberdeen-based Falck Safety Services was presented the Gold Award in the annual scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and recognised the company’s safety management system (SMS) and “safety empowerment” throughout the organisation.
Over the past year Falck has improved safety performance through staff participation and implemented a safety culture via HSE inspections, emergency response drills and safety committee meetings.
Managing director Colin Leyden, said: “It is the first time Falck Safety Service UK has entered the RoSPA Awards and to achieve such a meaningful industry-recognised accolade at gold standard is exceptional; it truly reflects the ideals and values of the company.
