Oil major BP has been issued with a notice from Norway’s safety body for violations related to operational risk on its Skarv FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel).
The PSA (Petroleum Safety Authority) said non-conformities were identified in connection with risk management, fire water in the event of gas detection and man-machine interfaces.
The company has been given a deadline of December 15 to report on how the non-conformities and improvement points will be dealt with.
Improvement points were identified in connection with continuous improvement, risk matrixes, maintenance management and control room manning.
Earlier this week the PSA gave Gasco a deadline to investigate corrosion at the Karsto processing facility.
