Apache Corporation has published its 2015 Summary Sustainability Report.
The online report features expanded disclosure of Apache’s performance in governance, economics, environmental stewardship, health and safety in the workplace, and community outreach.
“Apache’s commitment to operate as a good neighbour while employing sustainable practices in environment, safety and governance areas is a cornerstone of our philosophy and culture,” Apache chief executive John Christmann said.
The report details new political-contribution disclosures; describes Apache’s unique system of using brackish and recycled-produced water to support its drilling program without competing for freshwater supplies in drought-stricken West Texas; outlines new Aim for Zero initiative to prevent harmful incidents and encourage the reporting of hazards and near misses.
The 2015 report was prepared using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) sustainability reporting guidelines.
