JKX Oil & Gas has successfully restarted production on well-27 in its Koshekhablskoye field in southern Russia.
It comes after the well underwent a series of repairs and re-completion.
The well is currently producing at a rate of 16.3 MMcfd through a 27/64″ choke, with a flowing wellhead pressure of 3,370 psi.
Chief executive, Paul Davies, said: “Restoration of production from well-27 brings the total field rate to in excess of 45 MMcfd from four wells, comfortably above the original design specification of our process plant. Our next task is to replace the damaged tubing in well-05 and bring it on production to utilise fully the recently upgraded plant capacity of 60 MMcfd.”
JFX has licence interests in Ukraine, Russia, Hungary and Slovakia.
