Oilex is continuing its workover of its Cambay field in India.
Production from the Cambay-77H well achieved peak output of 110 barrels per day equivalent of gas and has averaged 51 barrels since it restarted following its workover.
Oilex said newly installed production tubing had improved the flow performance of the well compared to flowback and testing operations during 2014..
Performance of the well is being closely monitored subsequent to recommencing production to give a fuller understanding of its potential.
Total Cambay production is now around 75 barrels per day including production from the Cambay-19 well.
Oilex is hopeful that with 77H back online gas demand from the local low pressure gas market may gradually increase but conceded this will also require additional marketing.
The future possible workover list has six new candidates for consideration.
Ron Miller, Oilex’s managing director, said: “The Cambay workover campaign continues to deliver positive results with oil production from Cambay-19z meeting expectations and the deliverability of Cambay-77H gas production enhanced with successful installation of the production tubing.
“Overall, in relation to the Cambay Field, Oilex is now focusing on its objective of achieving a production rate target of ~150 boepd.”
