A jobs report has estimated a 12% drop in salaries in the oil and gas industry compared with the previous year.

Meanwhile Healthcare & Nursing jobs faced a 10.4% decrease to £34,030 and graduate jobs fell by 5.6% in salary level to £24,987.
Doug Monro, co-founder of Adzuna, said: “It’s been a tough year for workers in the energy sector, with oil prices nose-diving further. This industry, more than any other is intrinsically tied to the economic forecast and is suffering from a storm of setbacks.
“For Scotland – the stronghold of the UK’s energy sector – it’s a worrying time for many workers and hopefully the industry can bounce back next year.”
