Officials will discuss the preliminary findings of an investigation into an explosion last year at an ExxonMobil refinery in the US.
The incident at the facility in Torrance injured four workers with state regulators issued 19 citations against the company.
Proposed penalties of $566,600 were also put forward against the company.
The US Chemical Safety Board will meet to discuss the initial findings and the future direction of the probe.
The session will include investigators and officials from other agencies including the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Western States Petroleum Association as well as community groups.
