A former Malaysian Prime Minister has been appointed as adviser for Petronas, replacing former leader Mahathir Mohamad who was fired from his post two weeks ago.
His appointment will be effective from April 1, Prime Minister Najib Razak said in a statement on Friday.
Mahathir, who had been Malaysia’s longest serving prmie minister, was removed from his post as he “no longer supported the current government”.
