Elementis is to make a former senior BP executive its new chief financial officer.
Ralph Hewins will succeed Brian Taylorson in the role with the speciality chemicals maker.
The 53-year-old has been chief financial officer of BP’s lubricant unit since 2010.
The move comes after Elementis warned on profit and said earnings per share for year would be below the range of market expectations.
