The former chief executive of BG Group Helge Lund received £5.5million for his 11 months as boss of the company, fresh figures have revealed.
Lund received the pay-out during his time in the top role before it was taken over by oil major Shell.
According to reports in the Guardian, figures from Companies House show the former Statoil boss had his £1.4million salary boosted by other payments last year.
He was also given a relocation allowance of £906,000.
In addition, he was also given a £2.5million bonus and a £402,000 contribution to his pension.
Meanwhile in February this year he also received £9.7million in shares.
