Searcher Seismic said the Olympus 3D Reprocessing Project in the Cranarvon Basin has commenced processing in Perth.
The project, in cooperation with Spectrum, comprises the reprocessing of 20 existing 3D datasets.
It will extend northward from the Rankin platform and cover an extensive fairway of high qualit Jurassic reservoirs in the Angel, Calypso and Legendre formations.
Rachel Masters, Global Sales Manager for Searcher, said: “Given the low oil price environment and constrained budgets, our supporting clients have recognised the benefits of such a project and we are looking forward to seeing both the results of the processing and future drilling campaigns.”
The Olympus 3D project is a natural addition to Searcher’s extensive 3D coverage in Australia which now totals more than 70,000km.
