Delphian Ballistics has confirmed a new appointment in its bid to tackle the American market.
The firm, which has developed the perforating technology dubbed TriStim, named Dave Ditty as technical sales manager for the US.
The 30 year industry veteran and former geologist was recruited ahead of the company’s US pilot test results being released.
Stuart McLeod, Managing Director of Delphian Ballistics, said “We’re incredibly happy to have Dave on board to help deliver the growth objectives we’ve set for TriStim across North America. From the moment that the first idea for a convergent perforating system was sketched out on paper, TriStim has always been driven by innovative thinking and Dave brings this in droves to our North American operation.”
Mr Ditty was previously with Hunting Energy Services, where he was responsible for Marcellus and Utica Shale regions.
His immediate focus with Delphian Ballistics will be the Permian, Marcellus and Utica basins.
Mr Bitty added: “As the price of oil beings to climb, more companies are going to want to start completing wells again. But this time around, it won’t be so hectic. There’ll be time to pause for breath, sit down calmly and take a detailed look at new technology such as TriStim that has such potential to deliver real productivity benefits”.
The appointment also comes in the wake of the firm deploying 1000ft of TriStim guns in the first half the year in places like New Zealand, North America and Europe.
Mr Ditty will also be responsible for developing leads in the Bakken region.
