Magnum Hunter Resources has appointed a new chief executive to lead the company.
John Reinhart will take over the role with more than 22 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
He has spent the last 10 years focused in upstream exploration, development and production activities primarily in the Marcellus and Utica shales in Ohio and West Virginia.
Reinhart said: “I am very pleased and excited to join the Magnum Hunter team.
“The great employees at Magnum Hunter have worked very diligently over the past year to position the Company for success. With the acreage position that the Company has acquired in the premier low-cost gas basin in the United States, Magnum Hunter’s Marcellus and Utica Shale plays strategically position the Company for growth and value creation.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the Company to the achievement of its strategic and operational goals.”
