Oil major Chevron said its hundreds of employees in Hawaii will soon have the option to move over to Island Energy when it takes over the company in the region.
From November Island Energy will acquire all of Chevron and its assets in Hawaii.
At the moment, Chevron has about 282 workers.
According to reports, staff that work for the company, will be able to decide whether to move over to the firm.
