Asia’s second richest man has taken legal action against Goldman Sachs over $15.9million which was allegedly incorrectly charged related to his takeover of an Australian gas company.
Li Ka-Shing’s Australian Gas Networks (AGN) has filed action in the Supreme Court of Victoria as it looks to get back fees related to its takeover of Envestra in 2014.
According to reports, three companies controlled by the businessman spent $2.37billion in cash to buy Envestra.
A spokesman for Australian Gas Networks said the legal matter has “no implications” for AGN’s current business activities.
