The Offshore Contractors Association (OCA) has named a new chair of the body.
Mike Pettigrew’s appointment comes after he was made Scottish Regional Director with Cape.
Both Kevin Drewett of Wood Group and Erik-Jan Bijvank of Stork have also been named as the new vice-chairs of the OCA.
During the establishment of the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) Pettigrew was seconded to it.
His role as a senior consultant centred on assessing capital projects and working with senior minister, public sector bodies and exploration and production companies to encourage the use of the UK supply chain.
He said: “This is a critical time for the oil and gas industry. I am determined to ensure that the OCA does all it can to help secure the long-term future of the UK continental shelf.”
Paul Atkinson, chief executive of the OCA, said: “These senior appointments at board level bring a wealth of experience and knowledge, and will further strengthen the OCA’s position as the leadig trade association for offshore contracting companies.”
