Hereema Fabrication Group (HFG) said it will cut 450 jobs in the UK, Netherlands and Poland as a result of poor market conditions.
The firm said the reductions are also due to increasing competition, price pressures and unfavourable contract conditions in the wind energy market.
The move will see a 58% reduction which the company said will allow it to continue all of its operations at its locations where job losses are being made.
HFG said: “The intended reorganization will focus on adapting the company to the strongly decreasing volume of work, and on increasing the efficiency and competitive power of HFG.
“This will leave the company better prepared for the future.”
