A service has been held to remember those who have lost their lives working in the oil and gas industry.
The commemoration, which is held every year, fell a day before the 30th anniversary of the Chinook helicopter disaster in which 45 people were killed.
The remembrance service took place at the Kirk of St Nicholas in Aberdeen.
It was led by Reverend B Stephen C Taylor and Oil and Gas Chaplain Reverend Gordon Craig.
Candles were lit commemorating those whose names have also been added to the Book of Remembrance during the past 12 months.
Relatives and friends were joined by politicians including Aberdeen MP Callum McCaig and industry leaders such as Wood Group boss Robin Watson and Oil and Gas UK chief executive Deirdre Michie.
Josh Watson, whose great grandfather died in the Chinook helicopter accident, lit the candle to remember those lost on the flight from Brent Delta to Sumburgh Airport.
Reverend Pauline Nixon read a reflection and told the congregation those who had died would “never be forgotten”.
She lost her husband Neville, who had been one of the pilots on the flight of November 6th, 1986.
A Piper’s Lament was also played by Neil Rennie before the Books of Remembrance were carried to the Oil Chapel by Finn and Molly Mitchell, whose father Warren died in the helicopter crash of April 1st, 2009.
