ConocoPhillips will move out of its headquarters in Houston’s Energy Corridor and relocate its employees elsewhere.
The move was announced by the firm’s chief executive Ryan Lance in an email to staff.
In a note, Lance said he was “excited” about the prospect of having all the firm’s Houston-based staff near to one another in “modern, cost-effective” buildings.
He said the move only impacts the Houston workforce but is part of a collective effort to “build a new future”.
The new headquarters will be housed in Energy Centre Four.
The company expects to start relocating employees in mid-2018.
