ExxonMobil said its current president of of the firm’s production arm will retire after 38 years with the company.
Tom Walters will be replaced by Neil Duffin, president of ExxonMobil Development.
Meanwhile, Liam Mallon, vice president of ExxonMobil Development, will assume the role of president of the development firm.
It comes as reports emerged chief executive Rex Tillerson is to meet with President-elect Trump for talks over a role in his cabinet.
Tillerson is expected to reach ExxonMobil’s mandatory retirement age in March next year.
