Statoil’s Hywind project will be the world’s first floating offshore windfarm. It will produce enough clean energy to power around 20,000 homes in Scotland.
The towers for the Hywind Scotland were fabricated in sections at Navacel outside Bilbao, Spain.
Last Thursday the first sections started on the trip to Stord, Norway where the turbines for the world’s first floating wind farmed will be assembled. Watch the video to see more.
