Robert Gordon University (RGU) will host an event ahead of the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston this year.
The business breakfast will give business leaders a platform for discussing issues facing the oil and gas sector.
It will feature speakers including the principal of RGU, Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski, and Bob Ruddiman, head of energy at law firm Pinsent Mason, which is co-hosting the event.
Prof von Prondzynski said: “RGU enjoys close links with industry and we are keen to support and offer networking opportunities to all alumni and our current distance learning students based overseas.
“The oil and gas industry binds Aberdeen to Houston with many organisations operating in both cities and many of their employees crossing from one to the other and back again. Despite our differing accents, we speak the same language and share expertise.
“I am very much looking forward to this opportunity to meet with industry leaders, many of whom will be RGU alumni, ahead of OTC to share my insight into how we can leverage the expertise across our energy cities to create a global knowledge economy for the oil and gas industry.”
The event will be held at the Hilton Houston Post Oak, starting 7:15am on April 28.
