Medical and travel security risk services company International SOS has increased the size of its offshore and occupational health centre in Aberdeen.
The company, which operates globally, said its north-east property expansion was in response to growing client needs.
Its new facilities at Forest Grove House on the Foresterhill campus, close to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, provide additional medical resources, including a psychotherapy suite to deliver better support for patients, as well as extra office space.
The improved health centre – home to a 24/7 emergency response unit – also features a new telemedicine facility to provide a sophisticated level of medical care to workers in the North Sea and beyond.
It also supports a digital consultation service, launched earlier this year, with video conferencing for the return-to-work and routine occupational health consultations often required by international oil and gas firms.
