Footage has emerged of a saturation diver expertly navigating around the legs of a North Sea platform.
The video is labelled as showing the supporting legs of an installation in the the Ninian field, some 250 miles north-east of Aberdeen.
It is understood to have been filmed in 2010, according to the time stamp in the picture.
In the footage the diver leaps from one part of the subsea structure to another, scrabbling to get a foothold.
He then swims up between the supporting struts. The footage turns to full colour around halfway through, allowing the viewer to see the build up that has formed on the platform legs.
Towards the end of the video the camera operator looks down to the seabed – giving a scale of how high the platform is.
