A winding up hearing against Emas Offshore’s subsidiary, Lewek Champion Shipping, related to debts for the charter of the Lewek Champion vessel has been adjourned for July.
The original hearing had been set for 26 May 2017 but the application will now be heard on 14 July.
The owner of the Lewek Champion, Hai Jing 1401, filed the application with the High Court of Singapore on 5 May this year as the charterer was unable to pay debts of $195.02 million.
The company confirmed at the time of the initial announcement that they were seeking legal advice and assessing the impact of the winding up application against the group.
