Dubai-based rig builder Lamprell has agreed a settlement with a subsidiary of Schlumberger over costs incurred on equipment delivered in 2016.
Lamprell said it had to spend money to correct issues with the jacking gear supplied by Cameron.
Cameron will cover some of the costs incurred by Lamprell, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Lamprell did not say how much it would receive, but did say that its current net cash position would be largely unchanged.
Lamprell also said it had agreed to build two land rigs for Schlumberger, to be used in Saudi Arabia.
They will be built in Lamprell’s existing facilities in the UAE.
