A Young Engineers and Science Clubs (YESC) project jointly supported by Vattenfall, Crown Estate Scotland and the Institute of Physics in Scotland reached its climax yesterday.
A total of 13 Scottish primary and secondary schools showcased their designs and battled it out for first prize at YESC’s National Celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (Stem) in Glasgow.
Charleston Academy in Inverness and Peterhead’s Clerkhill Primary emerged triumphant, each picking up a trophy and £250 toward Stem resources. Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon’s College won the “Knotts to Watts” award, along with a virtual reality workshop.
