Equinor has released a video of the five module installation in Martin Linge field heading for the North Sea.
The heaviest module, by the Thialf crane rig, weighed 10,500 tonnes and was successfully installed on the field around 26 miles off the Norwegian coast.
Next the hook up begins, connecting steel, pipes and cables.
Equinor say “at peak” 1500 to 2000 workers will be employed during the hook up and completion phase.
In March Statoil finalised a deal with Total to take over operatorship of Martin Linge.
The field has estimated recoverable reserves of 190 million barrels of oil equivalent.
