A former oil industry boss has landed a new job as finance director at Aberdeen-based eyecare specialist Duncan & Todd Group.
Robert Skidmore is now looking after the finances of a business spanning 30 practices across Scotland, having previously held chief executive, managing director and finance director roles at a string of north-east companies.
He was latterly finance director at Oteac Integrated Fire & Safety Services, part of Aberdeen-based Nucore Group.
In 2007, Mr Skidmore and Keith Moorehouse, now chief executive of Centurion Group and also chairman of Cove Rangers Football Club, teamed up to buy Aberdeen-based energy service firm ATR Group in a £10 million-plus deal.
Mr Skidmore became CEO at ATR Group and was later finance director at North Sea drilling-equipment rental firm OMM.
