Parker Technical Services (PTS) has opened a north-east office and embarked on a recruitment drive after new contract wins worth a total of £3.7 million.
The company, which was created last year as part of Glasgow-based Edwin James Group (EJG), provides engineering, facility maintenance, energy and environmental services.
Its Westhill base comes on the back of project wins from Morrison Construction to provide mechanical and electrical services for a laboratory and office facility in Montrose and a new sports centre in Elgin.
A team of 12 engineers has been hired for the north-east office, which complements operations in Glasgow, Thurso and Inverness, and is led by former Richard Irvin Energy Solutions director Kevin Shinnie.
EJG chief executive Derek Smith, the former boss of Portlethen-based Ramco, said: “Parker’s new contracts and
the creation of a new team in the north-east is closely aligned with our group growth strategy.
“This is to establish an increased presence in Scotland, develop our market share and build on our relationships with main contractors and direct clients.”
