Law firm CMS said Aberdeen-based engineering and design business GDi had become the first Scottish company to join its EquIP programme.
EquIP is aimed at helping intellectual property-rich businesses scale up and maximise their full potential.
GDi, which is targeting new work in Africa and the Middle East and has secured a commission from the Oil and Gas Technolgy Centre to manage two big research and development projects, expects EquIP to play a valuable role in its future growth.
Frank Fowlie, practice group manager for CMS in Scotland, said GDi was an “ideal” business for the programme.
