A former Aberdeen energy service firm boss has found a new job south of the border.
Bill Bayliss left the role of chief executive of pipeline and structural maintenance firm ICR Integrity in October 2019 after about three years at the helm.
Mr Bayliss has now been appointed CEO of Optilan, a Coventry-headquartered communications and security technology firm.
His career also included stints as vice president of oilfield services firm Petrofac and group chief executive at Viking Seatech.
He is taking over from Richard Buckland, who founded Optilan more than 30 years ago.
Optilan has been backed by private equity house Blue Water Energy, whose portfolio includes Siccar Point Energy and Rovop, since 2017.
Mr Bayliss said: “Optilan is a highly respected company, leading the way in security and communications solutions.
“I am excited to use my experience and build on where Richard has taken the company and continue its ambitious growth.”
