GEG Capital, part of Inverness-headquartered Global Energy Group, said yesterday it had acquired Peterhead-based marine recruitment firm Genesis Personnel for an undisclosed sum.
Genesis managing director Wendy Marr and director Paul Duthie will stay with the business after selling it to GEG Capital, whose other recruitment businesses include Global Highland, Be Personnel and Cammach Bryant.
The addition of Genesis’s 12-strong team across offices in Peterhead and Aberdeen takes GEG Capital’s recruitment-focused headcount to 52.
Established in 1975, Genesis today turns over about £5 million a year from clients in a range of sectors. Its marine division accounts for about 70% of turnover.
The firm will continue to trade under its own name from bases on Marischal St, Peterhead, and Exploration Drive, Aberdeen, supported by GEG Capital.
