Law firm Brodies has unveiled three new partners in its Aberdeen office, including two new recruits who have joined the practice from Pinsent Masons.
The former Pinsents duo are Martin Ewan, who is widely recognised as a leading intellectual property and technology lawyer in the oil and gas industry, and David Millar, who boasts more than 17 years’ experience in corporate mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity work across a range of sectors.
Meanwhile, personal and family lawyer Nick Marshall steps up to partner for Brodies in the Granite City.
Mr Marshall joined Brodies as an associate, from Ledingham Chalmers, in early 2016 and has grown his practice advising clients on a wide range of legal matters including wills, powers of attorney, executries, trusts, asset protection, and succession and tax planning.
Brodies employs more than 700 people across offices in Aberdeen, Dingwall, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Brussels.
Managing partner Nick Scott said: “As we mark our 10th anniversary in Aberdeen, we want to thank all of our clients for their support.
“Our firm in the north-east was built from the ground up, starting with one lawyer. Today, we have 100 colleagues in the city, which underlines our commitment for the next 10 years, and the next 10 after that.
“That lawyers of the calibre of Martin and David have chosen to join our firm is testament to our strategic plans for the city and region.”
