Oil and gas production firm Gulfsands has appointed Michel Faure as a non-executive director.
The 61-year-old recently retired from Royal Dutch Shell, following a 30-year career with the oil giant, including serving as chief executive of affiliates in Tunisia, Morocco and Saudi Arabia. He has since been a consultant to the industry on energy strategy and business development
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Michel to our Board,” said Andrew West, the Gulfsands chairman.
“The breadth of his experience acquired in heading Shell’s operations in a number of countries across the MENA region and Africa, including Morocco and Tunisia where we are operators of oil and gas exploration and production joint ventures, should be of great benefit to the Company and our shareholders.”
