North Sea oil firm Trapoil has appointed Scott Richardson Brown as finance director.
He replaces John Church, who has been interim finance director since April.
Mr Church will remain as a member of the executive management team and continue to act as company secretary.
Mr Richardson Brown, a qualified chartered accountant, was previously finance director of Ascent Resources.
