Wood Group Mustang, a US subsidiary of the Aberdeen-based energy service firm, said yesterday it had recruited Ken Anthony as vice-president of business development for process plants and industrial.
Mr Anthony, based in Greenville, South Carolina, was previously with consulting, design, construction, and operations firm CH2M Hill.
Wood Group said WG Mustang had won a deal to build 140 miles of pipeline between Freeport and Mont Belvieu, both in Texas, for the Dow Chemical Company.
It did not disclose the value of the contract, but it is believed to be a multimillion-pound deal. The firm expects construction, overseen from its Houston and Angleton offices, to be completed by the end of 2016.
