Oil and gas firm Northern Petroleum have confirmed Maurice Eaton has left the company’s board.
Eaton joined Northern from Svenska Petroleum in 2007, and was promoted to director of operations in 2011.
During his tenure with the company, he oversaw production of five onshore gas fields in the Netherlands, along with drilling of La Tosca-1 in Italy.
The company said Eaton’s departure was the first of a number of changes to the boardroom planned by Northern for 2013.
“I would like to thank Maurice for his excellent work for Northern and I am sure that his skills and abilities will bring him success in his new activities,” said Northern chairman Richard Latham.
Current chief operating officer Keith Bush will add Eaton’s responsibilities to his current duties.
