Edinburgh-based oil and gas monitoring firm Lux Assure has appointed Charles Cruickshank as its new chief executive.
Cruickshank, former business development director at Petrofac, will split his time between the company’s Edinburgh headquarters and the base in Aberdeen.
“This is a very busy and exciting time for LUX and I’m delighted to be on board to help drive the company forward and be part of its ambitious plans for the future,” he said.
Cruickshank’s appointment comes as the company looks to expand its north-east operations, with a recruitment drive for the Aberdeen centre now underway.
“Charles brings an impressive wealth of industry experience to the position,” said LUX managing director Emma Perfect.
“He is a great addition and we are confident his skill and fantastic knowledge of the industry will help take the company to the next level.
“As a company, we aim to further increase our team and profile, including in Aberdeen, over the next 12 months which highlighted the need for a North East office.
“Recruitment campaigns for a business development manager, financial controller, scientist and offshore chemist are already in motion, with plans to have at least three regional staff recruited by the end of the year.”
