Oil and gas service business Bibby Offshore said yesterday it had appointed two chief operating officers as part of a restructuring of the firm.
Managing director Fraser Moonie will leave his current role to take on one of the positions and will be responsible for Bibby’s eastern operations in regions including Norway, south-east Asia and Australia.
The other chief operating officer will be Mike Arnold, who will hold the title on top of his current director position at Bibby’s subsea support division, Bibby Remote Intervention.
Mr Arnold will oversee western regions including west Africa and the Americas, while the UK North Sea will be divided between the two bosses.
The group has also appointed former asset operations manager Graeme Wood as director of offshore support services to oversee the firm’s vessel fleet.
Bibby Offshore chief executive Howard Woodcock said the changes at the top were due to the speed of the company’s expansion.
“Fraser, Mike and Graeme were the ideal candidates to take the business to the next level due to their in-depth knowledge of the business and industry as a whole,” he added.
The group employs more than 1,300 people worldwide.
As well as its office in Aberdeen, it also has bases in Liverpool, Singapore and Trinidad. It has a fleet of six subsea support vessels and expects to turn over £220million this year.
