Former Intera founder Michael Raleigh has been named as new chief executive of US onshore exploration firm Epsilon Energy.
The appointment comes after a new board was appointed earlier this month, following discussions with concerned shareholders.
Raleigh, who brings more than 35 years experience in the oil and gas sector, was former head of Schlumberger’s European division.
“We are very pleased that Mike has agreed to lead Epsilon’s team at this exciting time for the company,” said chairman John Lovoi.
“I have worked closely with Mike since 2005 and have great respect for his technical capabilities.
“Like the new board of directors, Mike is highly motivated to assist the company in creating greater shareholder value. To this end, he has declined to receive additional compensation for his role at Epsilon.”
