Subsea pipe specialist Flexlife has appointed a new director.
Simon Hounsome joins the firm’s Aberdeen headquarters as integrity and projects director, responsible for the policy, strategy and technical services delivered globally from its Aberdeen, Newcastle and Houston offices.
He brings more than 20 years’ oil and gas experience in construction projects and operations management.
Most recently he was where he was business manager for operations support at JP Kenny. Before that, he was project manager both in the UK and Far East at Acergy (formerly Stolt Offshore) .
Mr Hounsome said: “My involvement over the years in building teams and delivering high quality work to a similar client base as Flexlife will put me in good stead in my new role.”
Flexlife chief executive Ciaran O’Donnell said: “Simon’s extensive experience and expertise in technical, operational and managerial positions, both onshore and offshore, will be integral to client satisfaction and the resultant growth of Flexlife.”
Jon Hawes has also joined the Aberdeen office. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the offshore oil and gas industry in subsea engineering and project management, structural engineering, naval architecture, operations management, and business development.
