Subsea group Harkand has appointed former Global Industries boss John Reed as its new chief executive officer to oversea the company’s ambitious growth targets.
The industry veteran will take over from Nicolas Mouté, who oversaw the merger of Iremis, Integrated Subsea Services and Andrew Survey earlier this year.
The company said Mouté would move to another senior role within the group, with Reed taking over as CEO in October.
“He brings with him extensive experience of developing and delivering large scale, capital intensive projects and management of major complex organisations, which I believe will prove invaluable to the company,” said Harkand chairman Tom Ehret
“Nicolas has played a key role in creating and shaping the organisation to date and positioning us for further growth as we go forward and we look forward to his continued involvement in developing the group in the future.”
Harkand was formed in February this year after investment from Oaktree Capital Management in Iremis, ISS and Andrews led to the firms being brought together under one brand.
The company, which has 750 staff at bases in Dubai, Singapore, and Australia along with their Aberdeen operation, said it was looking to grow turnover to $1billion within the next five years following their takeover of US marine services firm Veolia in May.
