Petrobras’ chief executive has been ranked the most powerful female executive in the world – for the second year running.
American magazine Fortune has put Maria das Graças Silva Foster on the top spot of the list of 50 most influential business women from various industries outside the United States.
This is the second time in a row das Graças Silva Foster received the nomination, following her appointment as the company chair in February 2012.
Fortune listing was based on four criteria: the size and importance of the business in the global economy, the success and management of the business, the executive’s career trajectory and her social and cultural influence.
Prior to her current role, das Graças Silva Foster was the director of the Gas & Energy division and chief executive of Petrobras Distribuidora, having worked for the company for the last 32 years.
